Watanuki met this girl below a cherry tree a couple of times. At such a young age, she works as an exorcist on a TV series called "True Stories - Personal Encounters with Spirits & a World Lesser-Known". Kohane is exploited by her mother, who makes her exorcise spirits to earn money and never shows any motherly love for her daughter. Moreover, she overprotects her since she's a TV star. Kohane doesn't like that and feels her mom doesn't understand anything.

She and Kimihiro (and he actually lets her call her by his name and viceversa) bonded as soon as they met, perhaps because they do have some things and powers in common. He's really kind to her, like a sweet big brother. Probably he's the only one who acts like a friend to her.

Her last name is written by the kanji of "May 7th" while her first name means "little wings". It makes us wonder if having a last name meaning a date has some secret meaning, considering Watanuki's.
