.: Creatures :.
Here's a list of the most curious creatures, monsters and spirits who make a cameo. I'm still not done with profiles, sorry about that.

Snake spirit It was found on a school a friend of Himawari goes to. It was inside this spirit's territory. It took care of some bad energies resulting of playing "angel" (Ouija) in school grounds. If it wasn't for Yuuko's offering, it would've eaten Watanuki and Doumeki afterwards. It wasn't "evil"; just protecting its territory. |

Oden kitsune's son This cute little fox works with his dad at the mysterious oden stand. He's shy, but he'll stand up for his friends. Watanuki gave him one of Doumeki's broken arrows, and in exchange he saved his life in a parade. In the anime, he collected special objects and played shiritori with Watanuki and Mokona. |

Oden kitsune He owns a stand and sells oden to anyone who can see it -which is hard for a human, actually. He's a rather nice guy, and is friends with Yuuko from a while back. In the anime, he received the bird cage the old man got in the manga, and healed the shadow birds from a wound. |

Zashiki Warashi She's a pure soul who lives in a sacred mountain with the karasu tengu. This humanoid spirit is extremely shy to the point of blushing madly and crying out of joy, but she's sweet. She usually acts without thinking, though -like grabbing Doumeki's soul accidentally when removing food from his stomach, or facing the spider lady to get Watanuki's eye back and getting kidnapped instead. And speaking of that, she has an one-sided crush on him. Evil auras are poisonous for her. |

Great eagle I have no idea where the hell this came from. Yuuko whistled and Mokona brought it by riding on its back. I think there's some info about the eagle on the Mokona book, as I've seen images of it there. It helped them to follow Zashiki Warashi. |

Karasu Tengu They're five. These short youkai live with Zashiki Warashi and act like their bodyguards. But it's more like they're some sort of overprotective young brothers, picking with people who makes her cry. Even though they have wings, they hover the skies on boards. They use paper fans as weapons. They owned the Tengu fan until they gave it to Yuuko to save Zashiki Warashi from the spiders. |

Carnivore "hand" One day, a hand followed Watanuki everywhere, popping out of unexpected places. We have no idea what it is, or who it belongs to. However, it used to kidnap children who could see it at a local part, drag them below the floor, and "eat" them (it's more like the mouth attached to the hand did that.) |

Ame Warashi She rules the rain, and is a proud high-rank spirit. She made a deal with Yuuko so Watanuki would save a hydrangea from poisoning -the dead body of a human girl was buried underneath. She's kind to other spirits; but she feels nothing against humans except, maybe, some generic contempt for being so insensitive towards nature. She even treats them like objects sometimes. She has a nasty temper and usually hits people with her umbrella. She's friends with Zashiki Warashi. |

Mugetsu the Kudakitsune (pipe fox) Ame Warashi passed it on to Yuuko, and it is rather valuable. This is the regular form, which is all snake-like and slithery. Regardless of that, it tends to get inside Watanuki's clothes, climb to his face, and caress him. It's really, really, really fond of Watanuki. Kudakitsune's the master of little hearts ♥. Also, it can't speak. It was named Mugetsu (no moon) by Watanuki, because its eyes are hard to see, and they look like a crescent moon in its big form. |

Mugetsu the Kudakitsune (alternative form) When it faces with evil auras, he turns into a nine-tailed (I think it's nine; it makes more sense it's nine) silver fox. It can burn things with its breath and destroy things with its fangs and claws. |
![]() |
Wing parasites They latch to humans and make them lose contact with their emotional control until they can suck their souls out of them. It's hinted in TRC that the one who might've created these nasty parasites was Fei Wang Reed. |

Akari-chan A cat spirit. I'm not sure whether it's a male of a female, so I'll just call it a she on the meantime. She's a friend of Yuuko's, and she comes to her from a picture frame in her treasure cove -it gave Watanuki a fright. She drank her ass out and then she gave them the lamp for the Hyakki Yakou. It seems it's a tradition to give one to Yuuko each year. |

"Lady" who lost her son This human-shaped... something became friends with Watanuki because she acted like a mother to him. She said she had lost her son and Watanuki reminded her of what he could've been; we're not sure if that's true or more of her bullshit. However, she did got attached to him even though her presence was killing him. In the end, she let herself to be killed by Doumeki. |

Neko Musume This catgirl is an information broker, and we've ran on her a couple of times. First we saw her over the street hunting for flying fish, and then in Yuuko's shop to ask her for something to feel less hot. She got a cooling hat in exchange of info. She's really cute and crazy, and acts like, well, a cat! |

Lady Spider (Jorougumo) She's the one who rules over spiders, since they're her kin. She has a disgusting aura able to poison a pure spirit, and she can pull a kekkai so the tengu can't get in. She was the one who kidnapped Zashiki and held Watanuki's eye. She hates people who don't appreciate what they have and want to sacrifice themselves. After teaching Watanuki a lesson on that and eating his eye, she let them go. An interesting creature, she is. |

Raijuu A beast of thunder and electricity. (I'm going to call this one a he.) He got trapped in a department store and was rescued by Watanuki and Yuuko. In exchange, he fixed their fridge. He acts like an old man, and tended to zap Watanuki a lot when he held him. Any similarities with any Pokémon are surely a coincidence. |

Yumekai He's a merchant who buys, sells, and breeds dreams. These dreams take, for some reason, the shape of balloons. He exchanged a fragment of a dream Watanuki had for six lucky dreams. He uses the Osaka dialect and he's a nice, polite guy, although a little bit nervous. His facial expressions are cute. |

Tanpopo This orange and yellow bird is blessed with good fortune, and hatched from an egg Yuuko got from Sakura as a payment for a service. Watanuki was the one who hatched the egg with his feelings, as the egg rightly belonged to him, and the birdie was born kind. It was given to Himawari as a pet, since it was inmune to her bad luck, and she carries it around everywhere. Watanuki came up with the name, which means dandelion. Tanpopo, being a magical animal, doesn't need to be fed but it still eats. It can't talk. |
